Can I display my print outside? How well do they hold up to heat or moisture?
Fracture prints are intended for indoor home decor use only, and don't play well with outdoor conditions.
We recommend our prints be kept away from heating elements or places where a lot of moisture can build up. Exposure to varying amounts of humidity or heat may cause damage to Fracture prints and mounting. The mounting on the back of our prints is made of foamcore, which can easily be damaged by water/moisture and extreme heat.
We print images directly onto glass using UV-cured ink, so our prints won't fade over time or with exposure to sunlight. Fractures prints are not considered archival, though they will last a very long time if kept indoors and not exposed to extreme humidity or poor handling. Any manufacturing defects in the glass or foamcore backing are covered under our Lifetime Warranty.
*Even indoors, we recommend prints be kept away from heating elements or places where moisture can build up--which may include bathrooms, depending on your bathroom's ventilation. Some of our customers have reported success in hanging our prints in half- bathrooms or larger bathrooms, but smaller spaces may expose your print to too much moisture, which can be damaging.
The best way to show off your awesome new prints is by using either the provided wall screw or the table stands that we offer for display. Find out how to hang your Fracture print here, and how to use our Small and Medium Fracture stands here. It's incredibly easy—you won't even break a sweat!
